Snowy Surf

The title of this picture is a little misleading.  You see there wasn’t actually snow on the beach.  As I was looking for a nice photo tonight I saw this one and thought “hey that looks like snow”.  What I was trying to capture was the sun and wind hitting the big waves rolling in.  It’s always dramatic when the wind is blowing into the oncoming waves and creating lots of top spray.  The sun was getting low in the sky and was peeking between two buildings here at the beach.  I had to wait and shoot several shots before I got the correct wave break in the sun light.  I also love the way the foam looks like snow.  But now that I think of it it could also look like a nice frosty beer.  Mmmmmm beeeerrrr.

Nice work on the blog, I like the shots of you in the GLORY days!!

    • You mean when I had a lot more hair. Thanks! I haven’t dug out any of my really old pictures, like pre college. I’ll have to see if I can find any of those. Glad you like the blog.
