Foggy Veendam

Here’s another shot of a weather condition that I love.  Well basically I love all kinds of weather conditions.  This is from my Alaskan Cruise.  We were returning to the ship for the night and the fog was just rising up out of the trees like magic. It was the coolest kind of clouds I saw while I was there.  It was just starting to get dark so the ships lights were on.  It was a slow shutter speed I used, maybe 1/8 of a second.  So I placed my camera on the edge of a pier piling and squeezed off a few shots.  The piling was a bit cockeyed so I had to straighten the image out in Lightroom.  But this is really how it looked.  When passengers asked the Captain why he had to anchor out in the middle and we had to take a tender to shore the Captain calmly said, “Oh I am terrible at parallel parking”.
